Privacy
Enjoy Later privacy policy
Enjoy Later is designed for private, invitation-only groups. This policy explains the information needed to operate those groups and the controls available to members.
Effective September 15, 2026
Accounts and sessions
We use your verified email address, display name, password verifier, and session records to create and protect your account. Enjoy Later never stores your password in readable form.
If you enable notifications, we store your device’s push token linked to your account and your notification preferences. Apple receives the token, a generic activity notice, an unread activity count, and an activity identifier to deliver the notification. Notices do not include group names, article content, or discussion text.
Private groups and content
Group names, descriptions, membership, invitations, shared articles, recommendations, discussions, and activity are private to currently authorized members. We recheck membership and role before protected reads and changes. Authorized safety operators can also review submitted reports and the reported content to investigate concerns and take moderation action.
Enjoy Later stores whether your signed-in account has seen each Activity item so that status stays synchronized across your signed-in devices. This does not indicate that you read an article, and it is not shown to other group members or owners.
Enjoy Later stores your private current Read/Unread choice for each shared post so it can synchronize across your signed-in web and iPhone sessions. Other group members cannot see this state.
Webpage processing and reader storage
When a member shares a webpage, Enjoy Later retrieves the public page to prepare metadata and a clean reading view when possible. Reader files are stored privately and are served only after authorization. When extraction is unavailable, members can still open the original page.
Personal RSS feeds
Each accepted member can have a personal, private RSS URL for each group. Treat that URL like a password and do not share it. Refreshing or disabling a feed stops future access, but an external feed reader may keep entries it already downloaded.
Service providers
We use third-party services to host Enjoy Later, store data, deliver email and notifications, and provide support and safety checks. These providers process information as part of providing those services and have their own privacy policies.
Transactional email
We send necessary account, verification, recovery, invitation, and security messages. Enjoy Later does not use these messages for group activity newsletters or advertising.
Automated safety checks
Submitted member-authored text is processed by OpenAI solely for an automated safety check before publication. This includes display names, group names and descriptions, recommendations, comments, replies, and selected-passage comments.
We do not add article text, RSS feed content, account email fields, membership records, passwords, or sessions to this check. The submitted text itself may contain personal information that you choose to include.
We ask for your permission before sending submitted text to OpenAI. You can review or withdraw it in Account → Safety Check Permission. Withdrawing stops future checks but cannot recall text already sent. Without permission, text that needs a safety check cannot be published. Reading existing articles and deleting your account remain available.
Opened articles on your iPhone
The iPhone app may keep articles you opened in protected local storage so they remain available offline. It does not automatically download an entire group. The app removes or blocks protected local data during sign-out, membership loss, and account-deletion recovery.
Account deletion and retention
Active account data is removed within 24 hours after an accepted deletion request. Backup copies expire within 30 days. External feed readers may retain entries they fetched while authorized.
